Tijdens WorldPride Amsterdam  2026 wandelen we op woensdagmiddag 5 augustus langs verschillende  stadslandbouwprojecten in Amsterdam Deze projecten groot en klein, zijn groene, veilige oases in de stad waar ruimte is voor ontmoeting.

Binnen deze projecten dragen ook mensen uit de LHBTQI+ gemeenschap bij als vrijwilligers, professionals en initiatiefnemers. Een aantal queer vrouwen kiezen bewust voor werk dat bijdraagt aan een gezonde leefomgeving. Dat willen we laten zien. 

We vertellen je meer over projecten zoals Voedselpark Amsterdam, Women on Food, Groei & Bloei en andere groene initiatieven in de stad. Een middagwandeling van ongeveer 5 kilometer langs diverse voedsel- en stadslandbouwprojecten in Amsterdam.

Tijdens de wandeling staat niet alleen het telen van voedsel centraal, maar ook grotere vragen over wie toegang heeft tot grond, wie kan beschikken over ruimte in de stad en hoe we die eerlijker kunnen verdelen. Grond wordt zo niet alleen een fysieke plek om op te telen, maar ook een gedeelde maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid.

Wat kun je verwachten?

• Een inspirerende wandeling langs diverse buurtmoestuinen, stadslandbouw- en voedselprojecten

• Bezoeken aan initiatieven zoals Ruijtergaard, Voedseltuin IJplein, De Moestuinschool.

• Verhalen over voedsel, zorg, gemeenschap en duurzame toekomst

• Ontmoeting met projecten die bijdragen aan een eerlijker en gezonder voedselsysteem

• Afsluitende gezamenlijke borrel bij De VerbroederIJ

Sunflower Walk during WorldPride Amsterdam

During WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, on Wednesday afternoon 5 August, we will walk past various urban agriculture projects in Amsterdam.

These initiatives, both large and small, are green and safe oases in the city where there is space for encounter and connection.

Within these projects, people from across the LGBTQI+ community are active as volunteers, professionals, and initiators. Some queer women in particular consciously choose work that contributes to a healthy living environment. This is what we want to highlight.

We will introduce you to projects such as Voedselpark Amsterdam, Women on Food, Groei & Bloei, and other urban green initiatives in the city. It will be an afternoon walk of approximately 5 kilometers past various food and urban agriculture projects in Amsterdam.

During the walk, we not only focus on growing food, but also on broader questions of access to land: who has access to urban ground, who can use and shape city space, and how we can distribute it more fairly. In this way, land is understood not only as a physical space for cultivation, but also as a shared social responsibility.
