Once upon a time, there was the wolf. 
Since 2018, the wolf is officially back in the Netherlands. What does this mean? Is the wolf dangerous to humans? And how can we share the territory with a large carnivore after over 150 years since its absence? 
Let's explore together the characteristics of this charismatic but often misunderstood predator which is roaming freely in the dutch nature. With this introductory workshop on the ecology of the wolf, we will talk about where the wolf comes from, what it eats, how it communicates, and much more. 
We may find out that wolves and humans are, after all, more similar than we expected.

19:15 Welcome, met koffie en thee aangeboden door Stadstuinderij NoordOogst
19:30 Start of the workshop
20:15 buiten wandelen in het donker: we gaan luisteren naar de geluiden van de nacht, begrijpen wat wolven huilen is en zoeken naar vleermuizen met een vleermuisdetector (if they are still around!)
20:30-20:45 eind van de workshop

Goed om te weten:
de workshop is in engels (maar de speaker verstand en praat een beetje nederlands).

kinderen van alle jaren zijn welkom maar houd er rekening mee dat de presentatie voornamelijk in het Engels zal zijn.
