Op vrijdagavond 22 november organiseert SFYN Amsterdam een leuke filmavond in Buurthuis de
Meevaart (Amsterdam Oost)!
Dit evenement is onderdeel van het Food.Film.Fest, georganiseerd door Voedsel
Anders. Tijdens dit festival laten verschillende gemeenten, organisaties en vrijwilligersgroepen
indrukwekkende films zien over de problemen én oplossingen voor de toekomst van ons
voedsel.
Op deze avond kijken we naar The Seeds of Vandana Shiva, een inspirerend portret van de
Indiase eco-activist Vandana Shiva. Samen ontdekken we haar veertig jaar lange strijd tegen de
chemisch afhankelijke en winstgerichte landbouw. Zij gelooft dat de toekomst van ons voedsel
ligt in ecologische, duurzame en biodiverse landbouw. Dit is belangrijk omdat het niet alleen de
natuur en bodem gezond houdt, maar ook helpt bij het tegengaan van klimaatverandering en
ervoor zorgt dat we in de toekomst genoeg veilig en gezond voedsel kunnen produceren. Bekijk

On this evening, we’ll be watching The Seeds of Vandana Shiva in Amsterdam—an inspiring portrait of Indian eco-activist Vandana Shiva. Together, we’ll explore her forty-year fight against chemical-dependent, profit-driven agriculture. She believes that the future of our food lies in ecological, sustainable, and biodiverse farming. This is crucial because it not only keeps nature and soil healthy but also helps combat climate change and ensures we can produce enough safe and healthy food in the future.
