Mindful gardening: lente editie (Mindful Gardening: spring edition)

Mindful Gardening: Spring Edition
“Since ancient times, gardens have helped people bridge the gap between doing and being.” - Sue Stuart-Smith, The Well-Gardened Mind
Gardening can be a natural antidote to the fast pace of modern life. Working with the soil and growing plants is an invitation to slow down and engage with all of your senses. For many of us, it’s easier to feel grounded in the present moment and practice mindfulness.
This workshop intentionally combines nature meditation and seasonal gardening. Inspired by the art of noticing, which is central to permaculture and mindfulness, you’ll be invited to step away from the screen and be present with nature. Think of this as a digital detox for modern life to help you reconnect with yourself and your surroundings by getting your hands dirty.
Exercises:
- Introduction to mindfulness
- Practice nature meditation
- Mindful walking in a nearby park
- Discover spring gardening tips
- Learn how to grow your own food
- Notice the natural rhythms of the season
- Find inspiration in stories and poems
- Digital detox in a quiet garden
- Connect with a community of gardeners
