Farmsterdammers Day - Vegetable seedlings and sunflowers in Amsterdam!

Several urban food growers and passionate individuals from Amsterdam are coming together to plant extra seeds of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers this year. On 23, 24 and 25 May , there will be seedling-sharing points in various locations across the city for you to pick up, exchange and grow at home.
Seeds and vegetable plants exchange
With Farmsterdammers, we want to provide a platform for gardeners like yourself to give away and exchange surplus seedlings and plants within your local community and encourage urban dwellers to grow their own food. But it's not just about swapping plants – it's about sharing knowledge, tips, and advice, creating a collective learning experience that enriches us all.
While you get to know fellow gardeners in your neighborhood and discover new community gardens and green initiatives throughout the city, you can share seedlings and join workshops around urban gardening, food sovereignty and self sufficiency.
This year we are also participating in the Zonnebloemprotest , a very special action by Voedingspark Amsterdam that wants to draw attention to the Lutkemeerpolder , the last fertile agricultural area in Amsterdam. We encourage you to participate in this action by sowing sunflower seeds and share them with the community during Farmsterdammers day.
Start cultivating your own plants now and bring them to Farmsterdammers in May. If you missed the opportunity to grow your own seedlings, don't fret! Join us for a nice chat and pick up a plant anyway! We will update the swapping locations over time, so stay in the loop about every different aspect of this event and the Zonnebloemprotest via the information in this link
