1st Winter Webinar to form a solidarity network of community food carers!

zondag 20 december 2020 , 15:00 - 17:00 uur

We're excited to invite you, and anyone else you may believe is interested, to our first Winter Webinar on Sunday, December 20th 15.00-17.00 as the next step to forming a solidarity network for community food gardens in Amsterdam. You can choose between an Dutch or English streams of the webinar so please don't assume this is an English-speaking only activity.

The webinar is the result of listening to and learning from 16 different community food gardens, mainly in stadsdeel Nieuw-West (10), Oost (4) and Noord (2). This happened by doing 16 individual community evaluations with 5 simple activities that you may remember:

1 a round of gratitude for the garden
2 sharing biggest successes along 5 themes
3 documenting state of reciprocity (given/receiving) between different cooperating groups
4 sharing biggest challenges along the same themes
5 imagining dream relationships with cooperating groups with practical next steps

From the 16 gardens we have identified the most common challenges and  the first winter webinar will focus on the political and ecological themes. We do this by asking representatives of gardens to explain their  experience of the challenge to the group. Also for others to share  successes as possible solutions to the challenges.

After elaborating challenges and sharing successes, there will then be time for an open round of discussion with time to generate future
learning questions and make open solidarity requests.

We are excited to finish with collaboration rooms. This is where potential allies host a space to introduce their initiatives and start a conversation to enter into mutual support.
